Duties / Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The purpose of this job is to take the commercial lead role in a variety of commercial / QS tasks ranging from estimation through to project cost administration and finalization of accounts

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES

- Measurement of Quantities
- Checking of Bill of Quantities
- Evaluation and preparation of Interim Payment certificates
- Cost reporting
- Advice on Contractual matters
- Review and recommend resolution of claims from contractors
- Finalization of Accounts

 

Education

- Qualified Quantity Surveyor or BE Civil Engineering

Experience

- 10-15 Years of post qualification experience
- Experience in both pre and post contract activities
- Proficient in using software for quantity takeoffs
- Should have experience in managing contractors independently

Skills

Functional & Technical Skills

- Proficient in using softwares like AUTOCAD, CCS
- Strong knowledge of MS - EXCEL
- Knowledge of FIDIC, POMI and other standard contract documentation
- Experience in ID Works and measurement of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipments
- Bilingual (Arabic/English). Preferably Iraqi nationality.
