Duties / Responsibilities:

POSITION: Design Manager

 PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 Design Management of projects from pre-contract stage including all in-house coordination with technical teams, their inputs as well as monitor external consultants.

 PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES

Ø  Main responsibilities include managing project cost/design cost, project schedule, project brief, quality (both of the real estate product as well as design documentation) and the project financial performance (KPIs) throughout the pre-contract stage.

Ø  Responsible for the reporting function to the top management as well as the coordination of the company’s in-house resources across different departments.

 

 Education

 

Ø  Architectural degree from a recognized international university.

Ø  Preferably a PMP or equivalent qualification and or training.

 Experience

 

Ø  Hands on experience in design and documentation of sizable projects.

Ø  18 years of experience with at least 8 years in design management with project management firms or clients (developer).

 

Functional & Technical Skills

Ø  Good knowledge of design management tools and techniques.

Ø  Good knowledge of cost planning, scheduling, change management, contract conditions (FIDIC based).

Ø  Strong project management skills.

 

Behavioral Skills

Ø  Strong people management skills.

Ø  Strong interpersonal skills.
